Hidden Gem in Chicago
Ever since trying the famous two-color grilled fish at Contramar in Mexico City, I’ve been dreaming about it. I thought I’d have to recreate it myself or fly back to Mexico to taste it again — until I found the same dish right here in Chicago! 😍🌮 Must-Try Dish: 1️⃣ The Striped Bass, of course! This is the dish I’ve been craving! They use sea bass here, grilled with traditional Mexican green sauce on one side and red marinade on the other. The fish is tender and flaky, the skin is glossy and flavorful — absolutely irresistible! The portion is huge — easily shared between two, though after one bite you’ll want to devour the whole thing yourself! 😋🔥 2️⃣ The restaurant also offers a variety of tacos, and most main dishes come with tortillas on the side. Personally, I wasn’t as impressed with the tacos, so I’ll skip the detailed review here. Ambience: The vibe is great — artistic decor mixed with Fulton Market's trendy style. A lovely spot for a date night! 💕🍽️ Restaurant: Leña Brava Address: 900 W Randolph St, Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #MexicanFood #TwoColorFish #HiddenGem
