Hidden Gem on Route 66 šŗšø | Retro Car & Fried Chicken Spot
Oklahoma Edition Day 4 on Route 66: Oklahoma City ā Amarillo (Part 1) š 1. Annās Chicken Fried Cafe Address: 4106 NW 39th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73112 I CANNOT recommend this retro sports car-themed fried chicken joint enoughāAAAAH! 𤩠Itās so cool for photosāmy phoneās wide-angle lens totally made my ātall model legsā dream come true, lol! Everything about this spot screams Route 66 nostalgia: vintage sports cars parked outside (some even decorated with fun decals), retro signage that glows in the sun, and that cozy, old-school diner vibe inside. And letās not forget the foodātheir chicken fried steak is crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor (perfect fuel for a day of driving!). If youāre in Oklahoma City, runādonāt walkāto this place! Itās the kind of quirky, one-of-a-kind spot that makes Route 66 road trips so special š. š 2. Rock Cafe (Bonus Spot!) Address: 114 W Main St, Stroud, OK 74079 This oneās a total āCarsā movie fan favorite! We actually arrived here late on Day 3, but since itās in Oklahoma, Iām including it in this post. The Rock Cafe is famously tied to Carsāthe owner, Dawn Welch, was the inspiration for the character Sally ššØ! Sadly, we got there too late and it was already closed š¢ābut even the exterior was worth the detour! The two vintage cars parked outside were adorable (total āCarsā movie vibes), and the cafeās stone exterior and retro sign felt like a scene straight out of Radiator Springs. If youāre a Cars fan or just love retro diners, make sure to visit earlier in the day so you can go insideāfrom what Iāve heard, the food (and the movie memorabilia!) is awesome. #Travel #WorldTravel #MyTravelStory #MyHiddenGemTravelGuide #OnTheRoad #Scenery #USA #USATravel #Route66 #ComeTakePhotos #HighwayTrip #MostBeautifulHighway #RoadTrip #WeekendGetaway #OffTheBeatenPath #InternetFamousSpot #Retro #RetroCheckInSpot
