Highly Recommend Chicago French Restaurant Obelix

Since their menu changes often, I first saw this dish on their Instagram (Picture 1) and came specifically for it — and it did not disappoint! 🎉 It’s completely different from any foie gras or terrine I’ve had in France or elsewhere in Chicago. Made with wild boar, duck, and foie gras, served with two kinds of sauce and wrapped in flaky pastry — the texture and flavor are truly unique. You have to try this, folks! 👏 Picture 2: French Onion Soup – Solid, classic, no surprises. Picture 3: Duck Confit – Sadly, this was a letdown 😔. The duck was drier than expected. Picture 4: Cod Burger – Also spotted on their IG! If you like McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish, this is the ultimate gourmet version 🍔👑. So good! 📌 Note: Their lunch, dinner, and weekend menus are all different! I’ve included a recent lunch menu snapshot for reference. The ambiance is lovely, service is excellent, and it’s perfect for a date night 💖. No wonder this place is so popular — it totally lives up to the hype!
