Highly Recommended Caracalla Baths 🏟️💧

⭐️The Terme di Caracalla is one of the largest ancient thermal complexes, built between 212 and 216 AD. Much of the structure is still preserved today, making it easy to imagine its former grandeur. New projection technology now allows visitors to more vividly see the splendor of the past. ⭐️To supply water to the baths, an aqueduct branch was added in 212, with the reservoir's maximum capacity reaching 80,000 liters. During the Gothic War (535-554 AD), the Goths cut the aqueduct, and the baths ceased operation in 537. ⭐️The later Diocletian Baths were structurally similar to the Caracalla Baths but twice as large. ⭐️Throughout different historical periods, many artworks have been excavated at the Caracalla Baths, such as the three huge Farnese sculptures—Bull, Flora, and Hercules—found in the 16th century, now housed in the Naples National Archaeological Museum; the mosaics found in 1824, depicting 28 athletes, now in the Vatican Museums. Additionally, statues of Minerva, Venus, and more. ⭐️Today, the Caracalla Baths serve not only as a tourist attraction but also frequently host music concerts, operas, and other events on summer evenings. ⭐️Opening Hours: January 1 - February 28 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, March 1 - 26 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, March 27 - 31 from 9:00 am to 7:15 pm, April 1 - August 31 from 9:00 am to 7:15 pm, September 1-30 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, October 1 - the last Saturday of October from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, the last Sunday of October - December 31 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Open Tuesday-Sunday, closed on Mondays, closed on December 25 and 27. Admission: €15 (includes entry + audio guide), it is recommended to book with Roma pass (€2 fee). €17 (includes entry + projection experience). #MeetItaly #Italy #Rome
