Highly recommended restaurant in Rome, second visit: Sgarro Bistrot
It's very close to the Spanish Steps. Only 300 meters away from the Airbnb we stayed at in Rome, so when we were too lazy to go far for lunch, we found this place on Google Map with a 4.7 rating. ๐ When we walked there, it was a tiny family-style restaurant, packed to the brim! There were only three or four tables outside and four or five inside. When I arrived, there was only one small two-seater table left by the bar. The owner was so nice, she even gave us a complimentary aperitif. ๐ฅ We ordered seafood risotto, Margherita pizza, and a bacon and black truffle pasta that the owner recommended. The seafood risotto was amazing. When I praised it, the owner confidently said that nobody can resist this dish. The black truffle pasta was also deliciousโI used to be indifferent to black truffle, but it was so fragrant! The pizza had a perfectly fermented dough, freshly baked with a lovely wheat aroma. It was truly a delightful meal (please forgive my limited vocabulary). This was the most satisfying meal we had in Rome in four days, and we plan to visit again if we have time. ๐ For two people, it cost 70 euros. Today, we didn't have many options, so we went back for another visit. We ordered three dishes: the seafood risotto was as good as ever. The lasagna was excellent, and the Bolognese pasta was also delicious. This is truly a restaurant that won't disappoint. Many of the guests were regulars, hugging the owner as they walked in. This is hands-down the best restaurant we visited in Rome. ๐ฅณ #ItalianCuisine #RomanDelights #SpanishStepsEats #HiddenGemRestaurant
