Houston's AYCE Omakase Adventure at NoriNori HTX

My foodie squad and I decided to try this intriguing AYCE (All You Can Eat) Omakase that's been making waves on Instagram. While we made reservations, walk-ins appeared to be welcome too. 📍 Quick Facts: • Available Sundays only • Bar seating only for the omakase experience • 90-minute dining duration The Experience: The meal began with a lovely communal house sake toast with the chef - a delightfully sweet yuzu-infused sake that's perfect for those who prefer lighter, fruitier flavors. Course Breakdown: 1️⃣ Chef's Selection Course (from the menu) • All dishes were executed well with no major misses • Fish quality and preparation were solid 2️⃣ "AYCE" Add-ons (off-menu items) • Mostly rice-heavy sushi and hand rolls to fill you up • Noticeable drop in fish quality compared to initial courses • Fixed rotation (not truly unlimited) with longer wait times between servings Honest Assessment: • Portions: More than enough for ladies; guys should leave satisfied • "AYCE" Claim: More marketing than reality - items are pre-determined • Final Bill: ~$200+ pp after adding multiple sake orders (we got carried away!) Who's It For? Perfect for: ✔️ Instagram-worthy Japanese dining ✔️ Girls' night out ✔️ Those wanting to try omakase without breaking the bank Would I Return? While it exceeded our (admittedly low) expectations, the experience didn't quite justify a repeat visit for the omakase. However, it's a fun option for special occasions! 📍 NoriNori HTX 9938 Bellaire Blvd Suite G, Houston, TX 77036 #HoustonEats #OmakaseLover #SushiTime #FoodieAdventure #HTXFoodScene #JapaneseCuisine #AYCEEats #HoustonFoodGuide
