π Houston Half-Day Adventure | Eat, Drink & Explore π
Only got half a day? No problem! Hereβs how to make the most of your time in downtown Houston and nearby spots. βοΈ Pro tip: Check the weather first β it hit 30Β°C in March! Short sleeves and shorts are perfect. π EAT: π The Pit Room You canβt visit Texas without digging into some BBQ! π πΆ Over 5800 reviews β and for good reason! Even at 2 PM, this place was packed. The free pickled veggies cut right through the richness β highly recommend grabbing a side salad too. We tried the Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork (so juicy!) and even venison sausage π¦ β unique and delicious! β DRINK: π BlendIn Coffee Club A Chinese-owned local cafΓ© that roasts their own beans. Lots of pour-over options! I ordered an anaerobic-fermented Chinese coffee bean β bursting with strawberry notes πβ€οΈ The space is clean, minimal, and super cozy. π‘ EXPLORE: π Rice University Beautiful campus right near downtown! Sadly the main quad was under renovation, but the βR_CEβ sign (missing an βIβ) was too cute. π π Waterwall Park A iconic photo spot β even saw a couple taking wedding pics! π The 20-foot curved waterfall is mesmerizing (almost dizzying to look up!). Thereβs a small lawn to relax on, and itβs connected to The Galleria β Texasβ largest shopping mall ποΈ. π NASA Space Center We skipped it this time, but if you have extra time β itβs only a 30-min drive from downtown! π Looks super fun and educational. #Houston #HoustonFood #HoustonGuide #HoustonTravel #BBQLover #CoffeeTime
