Houston Kid-Friendly Fun · Once Upon a Cowboy!

Just a short drive away in The Woodlands, this hidden gem is a dinosaur-themed park perfect for little explorers! Not huge but packed with prehistoric fun — ideal for tiring out energetic kids 😄. Open: Thursday to Sunday (more activities on weekends) Tickets: Slightly pricier on weekends — check Groupon for deals! We went on a Friday and it was pleasantly uncrowded. Fun Activities: Ride a Mini Dinosaur $5 per ride (token bought at the front desk). Kids control the movement — better for slightly older little ones! Only two dinos were running when we visited; maybe more on weekends 🦖➡️🦕. ⭐ Dinosaur Rocking Horses Included with admission 🎠 — like classic ride-on toys but way cooler! ⭐ Fossil Dig Sand Pits Five outdoor mini dig sites + one big indoor sand pit (shoes off!). Comes with brushes — let your kid become a junior paleontologist! ⛏️🦴 ⭐ Interactive Sand Table Room A high-tech sandbox where landscapes change as kids build — volcanoes erupt 🌋, rivers flow, and terrain shifts in real time. Super engaging and educational! ⭐ Art Room — Draw Anywhere! Walls, tables — everything’s a canvas 🎨. Total creative freedom for little artists! ⭐ Indoor Playground Compact but fun — enough to keep them busy and active! 🧗‍♀️ 🎢 Also On Site: Mini train ride ($5) 🚂 Bounce castle (a bit worn, we skipped it) Escape room (extra fee, closed weekdays) Animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar! Seasonal Christmas lights 🎄✨ 📌 Tips for Your Visit: Best for ages 2–8 (especially dino lovers!) Plan for 2–3 hours of play Snacks allowed — there’s a seating area Wear play clothes and socks (shoes off in some zones) It may not be huge, but it’s thoughtfully designed and full of surprises. My dinosaur-obsessed kid didn’t want to leave! 🥹❤️ If you’re around Houston and looking for something fresh and fun for the little ones — this spot is definitely worth a visit! #US #Texas #Houston
