Houston Shop Exploration | Pho Ben Vietnamese Noodle
When it comes to the best pho π in Sugar Land, Pho Ben is definitely on the list. On a cold day, there's nothing more comforting than a hot bowl of Vietnamese π»π³ noodles π. We visited the one near Costco this time, and they also have one on Highway 6. The decoration style of Pho Ben is quite distinctive, with some Vietnamese food-related texts written on the walls (I didn't look closely, maybe it is). The black and white style is consistent with the menu. In addition to the Vietnamese beef noodles π, mixed noodles, rice π sets, Vietnamese sandwiches π₯ͺ, and other common items in pho shops, they also have seafood π¦ noodles, chicken π noodles, and spicy beef and pork noodles π. Pho comes in small π₯£ and large π₯£ sizes. We ordered a combination of beef eye round π₯© and meatballs π‘ noodles (19), and a spicy πΆοΈ noodles (73). Β· Small bowl of beef noodles π: The beef π₯© is quite tender, and the meatballs π‘ are also very chewy. The soup π₯£ is as good as always (I thought the soup at the Highway 6 location was a bit salty before, but it was okay this time). The amount of noodles π is normal, neither too much nor too little. Β· Large bowl of spicy noodles π: Although it's a large portion, the price difference from the small portion is only 75 cents π°. The spiciness is only mildly spicy πΆοΈ, which is not satisfying. The taste of the soup base is completely different from the beef noodles, without the special flavor of meatballs, but more of the aroma of sliced meat. There is a lot of meat, and the cilantro is quite long. If you have no dietary restrictions, you can happily finish the soup base. #HoustonExplore #VietnameseNoodles #pho #VietnameseCuisine #VietnameseRiceNoodles #VietnameseFood #BeefNoodles
