Iโ€™d Go Back to Chicago Just for Kumiko ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’–

So magical, folks โ€” had the best cocktail of my life here. 1st round: Moonrise Daiquiri โ€” a flight of junmai sake + cocktail + hojicha. A novel experience! The sake was smooth with a sweet finish, like fermented rice wine ๐Ÿถ. The cocktail was super refreshing with an ultra-fine icy texture. Hojicha notes lingered in the aftertaste โ€” so clever! Topped off with a small cup of clarified hojicha tea. My top recommendation here โ€” loved it! ๐Ÿ˜ 2nd round: A tequila-based drink (forgot the nameโ€ฆ maybe Ophenon?). Drank it too fast ๐Ÿ˜… โ€” tart and medium-strength, but a bit unbalanced for my taste. No photo โ€” oops. 3rd round: Umebushi Chu Hi โ€” plum green tea sparkling cocktail. Actually a perfect starter drink, but I had it as my last round. Great for cocktail beginners! Overall, every drink had rich layers and smooth transitions. The menu feels cohesive yet creative โ€” some of the best Japanese-inspired mixology Iโ€™ve tried. Had limited time, so only three drinks and no food โ€” definitely coming back next time! As my friend says: โ€œYouโ€™re either drinking or on your way to drink.โ€ โค๏ธ #Kumiko #Chicago #CocktailHeaven #JapaneseMixology #HojichaCocktail #ChicagoBars
