Italian Charm in Downtown Chicago – Volare 🤤

Had a lovely meal with my good friend! 🥰 We last saw each other in person at the HYSLC Midsummer Night years ago… but fate works in wonderful ways ✨ After six or seven years, we reunited in Chicago! And we chose a restaurant we both loved: Volare — so yummy hehe. Volare is tucked in a quiet corner of downtown Chicago. Warm yellow lighting, retro decor, and soft Italian music create a romantic, cozy vibe. 🪸 Signature Insalata Di Mare A seafood symphony! Juicy shrimp, tender squid, plump mussels—all super fresh. Lightly grilled with a smoky touch and a squeeze of lemon that perfectly highlights the ingredients. 🥘 Volare Risotto Since we also wanted pasta, the server recommended this risotto. It shares the same sauce as the squid ink pasta, but the rice makes it feel richer and more comforting. Every grain soaked in flavor—warm and satisfying. 🦞 Lobster Linguine (Linguine All'Aragosta) My favorite of the three! Al dente pasta in a rich tomato-lobster sauce that balances perfectly. The seasonings complement without overpowering—gentle, with a subtle spicy-tangy note. 🍧 Gelato Trio: Chocolate, Caramel Sea Salt, Vanilla The chocolate was deep and dark—loved it! Vanilla was a bit too sweet for me. Caramel sea salt was also a win 😋 And the little cookie on the side was delicious too! Overall, a great spot for Italian/Spanish cuisine lovers! 🍴 Restaurant: Volare Ristorante Italiano 📍 Address: 201 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611 #ChicagoEats #ItalianFood #VolareChicago #SeafoodLovers #DateNight #ReunionDinner
