Italy Rome | Lobster Pasta 🦞 I Couldn't Stop Eating!
Restaurant Name: Al Forno della Soffitta If you're staying near the Borghese area, this place is a must-visit! It's just a 10-minute walk from the Borghese Gallery. The lobster pasta is a steal at only 26 euros, and their pizza, baked in a traditional wood-fired oven, has a perfect charred flavor. 🍝 Two of us shared a pizza, a pasta, and a salad, and we were more than full. I also ordered dessert and seafood, and the waiter joked, "Are you very hungry?" 🤣 The place is packed with locals, so make sure to arrive before 8 PM to avoid the long lines. Nearby, there's a Chinese restaurant called Jiamo Lab that's worth a visit. It has a 4.9-star rating on Google Maps! The Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger) is huge and delicious, and their Peking duck is amazing, with authentic sweet bean sauce. Lots of people line up, so get there early! The owner is super nice; he even exchanged some euros for us via WeChat and gave us two bottles of Wang Lao Ji (a Chinese herbal tea). 🥢 On the other hand, the popular Caffè Doria was a huge letdown. With a 4.4-star rating on Google Maps, I think it's overrated. It's expensive and not very tasty. Plus, the photos on social media only look good when the place is lit up in the evening. During the day, it's quite ordinary. Also, you can only drink beverages and can't access the courtyard unless you dine there. And without a reservation, you'll be stuck sitting against the wall. My advice? Don't trust those trendy restaurants recommended online; they're usually a waste. Just use Google Maps to find highly-rated places nearby. #ItalianCuisine #food #RomanDelights #Pasta #WoodFiredPizza
