Jeju Island Punishes Anyone Who Doesn’t Plan Carefully! ⚠️
✍️ Visa Jeju Island offers visa-free entry, but make sure your passport is valid for more than 6 months! 🛂 💴 Currency Exchange money online first, then reserve pickup at a bank branch. If you have a Visa card, you can exchange less cash (cards are widely accepted in most places). 💳 ☎️ & Tools for Travel Communication: Buy a local data SIM card on Taobao in advance. 📱 Others: Bring a German-standard round-pin plug adapter + a power strip (super useful for charging multiple devices! 🔌) Translation: Papago (the most accurate for Korean-Chinese translation! ✅) Maps: Naver Map (way more reliable than other apps for local navigation 🗺️) Taxis: Use Kakao T (the go-to app for hailing cabs in Korea 🚕) ✈️ Transportation To Jeju: Fly from major cities (direct flights are common and convenient! ✈️) Local Transport: Taxis: Starting fare is 3,800 KRW, with an additional 100 KRW per kilometer. Public Buses: Get a Pop Card (buy and top up at convenience stores like CU or 7-Eleven 🚌) Car Rental: Most recommended! Rent a car after landing to explore freely—around 900 RMB per day. East-West Island Tour: Priced at ~168 RMB per person (great for group travel!) 📍 Must-Visit Spots Udo Island 🏝️ A non-negotiable stop in Jeju! Colorful cartoon-style houses line the coast—rent an electric scooter with friends to ride around the island. The sea breeze is so calming! Note: Round-trip ferry ticket costs 10,000 KRW. Hallasan National Park 🏔️ Jeju’s iconic natural landmark—popular among hikers. Its winter snowscape is absolutely stunning! Jusangjeolli Cliff (Daepo) 🌊 A must-see! I only found out after arriving that “Jusangjeolli” is a geological term for these columnar basalt rocks. The split rocks against the blue sea create such a dramatic, “broken beauty” vibe. Sanbangsan Mountain (Samseonggak) / Sanjeong Lake (Sanjunri) ❄️ A more underrated, off-the-beaten-path spot—but it’s been a filming location for many K-dramas and movies. Overcast days or light rain make it feel even more like a K-drama scene! Ticket: 6,000 KRW. Woljeongri Beach 🏖️ Super fun to explore! Jellyfish-like clear sea, a big sandy beach, and a windmill town—all gorgeous. Grab a seat by the window at a café to watch the sunset; it’s so chill! Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (Sunrise Peak) 🌅 Formed by an undersea volcanic eruption 100,000 years ago. The view where mountains meet the sea feels like the “edge of the world.” Pro tip: Wake up early to catch the sunrise—fewer crowds! Seopjikoji 🌿 My favorite place in Jeju! Every photo here has that K-drama atmosphere: coastal boardwalks, vast green meadows, black volcanic rocks. In the distance, you’ll see Tadao Ando’s Yumin Art Museum and Glasshouse—it’s totally worth wandering around. Aewol-eup ☕ Tons of spots to check out: Slow Boa: Stylish wooden furniture and art magazines (super classy!) Lazy Pump: Rustic industrial style that pairs perfectly with the seaside. Dotdol-dong Rainbow Road 🌈 A romantic coastal road lined with colorful stone bollards—so photogenic! 🏠 Accommodation Recommendations Nyeok Guesthouse (cozy, local vibe) JW Marriott Hotel Jeju (luxury option with great amenities) Jeju Ollero (unique, design-focused stay) #JejuGuide #JejuIsland #JejuTravel #WoljeongriPhotography #MyHiddenGemIsland #TheSeasideIveAlwaysWantedToVisit
