JL Dumpling House 🥟 | A Taste of Nanjing in Atlanta!
As a "half-Nanjinger" (my dad’s from Nanjing, and I grew up nearby), I was thrilled to find authentic Nanjing flavors right here in Atlanta! The menu brought back so many childhood memories—and the food did not disappoint 😊. 🦆 Salty Duck Tender, flavorful, just a tad salty—exactly how it should be! 🐟 Smoked Fish A real standout! The best I’ve had in Atlanta—perfectly balanced, not overpowered by spices. 🦀 Crab Roe Soup Dumplings Juicy, rich, and filled with real crab flavor. No false promises here! 🥣 Duck Blood & Vermicelli Soup (we ordered two!) Generous portions, clean broth, and loads of ingredients. No artificial taste—just comfort in a bowl. 🍲 Slow-Simmered Tofu Strips Solid, but not memorable. A safe choice. 🍡 Sweet Rice Balls in Fermented Rice Soup A bit sweet for me, but still enjoyable. ❤️ Red Bean & Rice Ball Soup My only letdown—too thin, not enough red bean richness. Didn’t match the menu photo. 🍖 Crispy Fried Pork Ribs Skip these ❌. Over-breaded and under-seasoned. ✅ Final Verdict A must-try for anyone missing Jiangnan flavors! Snacks outshone the mains Busy at weekend lunch, but service is quick Great value: $160 for 4 adults + 1 kid (incl. tax & tip) 📍 Address: JL Dumpling House 2180 Pleasant Hill Rd Unit C, Duluth, GA 30096 #JLDumplingHouse #NanjingFood #AtlantaEats #SoupDumplings #AsianCuisine #FoodReview #ATLFoodie
