Jokbal Night Market – Arlington Heights 🐷✨

Finally tried this spot that’s been sitting in my Yelp bookmarks forever — gathered some friends and went all in! We were five people and ordered the Special Combo 2 + a kimchi pancake. Thought it might not be enough, but we ended up with leftovers! 🐖 Half & Half Jokbal – Half original, half spicy pork trotters. The original tasted like smoky, tender braised pork — so soft and delicious! The spicy version came with chewy rice cakes and was incredibly fragrant — we couldn’t stop eating it, and this was the only plate we finished clean! 🍲 Siraegi Gamjatang – Pork bone soup with ribs, rice cakes, and veggies (maybe watercress?). Just okay — pretty standard soup flavor. Probably wouldn’t order again. 🥞 Kimchi Pancake – Tasty and crispy, not too spicy, though a bit oily. 👋 I held my hand up for scale — portions are huge! Definitely bring friends to share. 💰 Total for three dishes was $118 before tip — about ~$25 per person for five. Overall, it was satisfying but heavy — all that meat can get rich. Next time I’d add a cold noodle dish to balance it out. 📍 Jokbal Night Market 63 W Golf Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 #Chicago #ArlingtonHeightsEats #ChicagoFood #ChicagoEats #KoreanFoodChicago 🍖
