Kid-Friendly Outing: Ottawa's Canada Agriculture and Food Museum 🏟😅

Take your little foodie to explore the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum in Ottawa! Inside, you’ll find a menagerie of farm animals (think cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, rabbits, turkeys, and more 🐄🐑🐎). There’s also a live demonstration of milk production 🥛, perfect for curious minds! For tiny tots, there’s a cozy little kitchen area (see Photo 15 👩🍳) and an outdoor playground in the courtyard (check out Photos 16 & 17 🎠). The museum hosts rotating exhibitions too—when we visited, they were showcasing Nana’s Jamaican Christmas Pudding 🍮. Overall, you can easily spend around 2 hours here. A word of caution ❄️: Winter visits aren’t ideal. The museum spans five buildings, meaning you’ll alternate between indoor and outdoor spaces. Cold weather means constant outfit changes for your little one 🧥👕, and some buildings are kept warmer (for the animals’ comfort) while others are chilly. Plus, the animal barns have… let’s say a distinct aroma 👃 that might cut your stay short. On the bright side, every building has restrooms and changing stations 🚽👶. Practical info 💰: Parking costs $3.50 per hour, but admission is free between 4-5 PM daily! #MarkhamLife #TorontoLiving #MuseumAdventures 🏛️✨
