Kingston Food Exploration | What to Eat in a Culinary Desert

This one seems pretty Southeast Asian-focused! ✅ Thai House Cuisine A Thai restaurant downtown that recently reopened for dine-in—finally got to check it out with my foodie buddy! Originally went for the mango sticky rice, but since 🥭 is seasonal, it wasn’t available. Ended up trying their recommended fried bananas—pretty good! Not too sweet for me, but others might find it sugary lol. The Pad Thai was delicious, with a slight tang that worked really well. Their curry was also rich and fragrant, absolutely perfect with rice. The beef in it was tender (all lean meat!), though the chicken skewers were just okay—nothing special. Highly recommend their stir-fried noodles and curry! ✅ Apsara Angkor Cuisine A Thai spot by the lake—decently tasty. The mango sticky rice was alright but overly sweet with way too much coconut milk. The coconut shrimp was the MVP though! ✅ Pho Chopstix Average—not as good as Mekong. ✅ Sens Cafe A lakeside café with great coffee and tea, plus a super cozy vibe. Perfect for studying or working—it’s always busy, but most people are there to focus. They also serve small desserts and sandwiches. On a nice day, it’s a fantastic weekend hangout spot with friends! #Canada #LifeInCanada #StudyInCanada #CanadaFoodie #KingstonCanada #Kingston #KingstonEats #QueensUniversity #QueensU #FoodExploration #Foodie #CafeHopping
