Korean Soy Sauce Crab & Milli Coffee ☕️

After doing nails all week from day to night, the weekend finally gave me a breather! My husband said he’d take me somewhere nice to eat — I got ready in a flash ✨. First stop — Milli by Metric, a café recommended by clients. I’m no coffee expert, but their coffee was rich and layered in flavor ☕️. Desserts, though… pretty average 😅 — order with caution. Lots of local customers — the line was out the door, definitely a hot spot in Chicago lately! After coffee, still hungry — drove up north to Chicago Galbi House. This Korean spot gets tons of recommendations, serving both BBQ and soup dishes. We got Spicy Galbitang (spicy beef short rib soup) — four large ribs with radish and noodles. Light but hearty, $25 well spent. But the star ⭐ — Korean Soy Sauce Crab (Ganjang Gejang)! Three big blue crabs, super fresh 🦀. Eating it alone felt a bit heavy (unlike Chinese-style raw crab with liquor notes) — here it’s marinated with soy sauce, onion, and pepper. I wrapped it with lettuce, rice, and kimchi — just right, savory and flavorful, and it got better with each bite! #Food #ChicagoNails #AfterWorkEats #SoySauceCrab #KoreanFood #ChicagoEats #CafeHopping
