Lincoln Park New Cafe — Olive and Oak Cafe ☕️
The other day in Lincoln Park picking up a galette des rois, I felt a bit sleepy and wanted some coffee to wake up — just then I passed this newly opened cafe and dropped in for a quick visit. 🍰 Pistachio Tres Leches Cake – Texture similar to tres leches but not overly moist. Honestly, the pistachio flavor mostly came from the nuts on top; the cake itself had a subtle almond taste. Overall nicely balanced and not too sweet. ☕️ Latte – The latte art was adorable — haven’t seen this design in years! Had to snap a photo. 🥪 Breakfast Sandwich – Super popular here! Thick egg omelette with bacon and cheese — half was enough to fill me up. The cheese pull was insane You can also choose your own bagel and fillings — customize to your liking. Other cakes in the display looked Eastern European-inspired. Since I liked the pistachio cake, I’ll definitely be back to try the others. The cafe looks small from outside but has plenty of seating inside. It’s close to DePaul — felt like quite a few students were here for group study or solo work, giving me nostalgic back-to-school vibes 🎒📚. 📍 Olive and Oak Cafe 955 W Webster Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 #ChicagoLife #DessertTherapy #ExploreChicago #ChicagoEats #CoffeeShopVibes #StudySpot
