š½ Looks Delicate, Actually Very Filling
CariƱo ā A one-Michelin-starred Mexican restaurant in Chicagoās Uptown. Opened just a year ago and already awarded a star š“ Small space, reservations recommended. We ordered the Tasting Menu ā each dish looks refined and modest, but by the end, you realize youāre actually quite full! The chef is creative ā a true pioneer in modern Mexican cuisine. ⨠Highlights: ⢠Chicharrón + Esquites ā Great bar snacks, perfect with drinks. ⢠Corn Ravioli + Truffle ā The best dish of the night! ⢠Chicken Liver Taco ā Delicious and not greasy at all š ⢠Desserts ā Loved the pineapple + coconut combo among the three sweets. ⢠They even served a ChichĆ©n ItzĆ”-shaped chocolate ā turning Mexican heritage into edible art. Attention to detail was impressive. š° About $200 per person (excluding drinks and service). Their tequila cocktails are great, but after trying both, Iād recommend the wine pairing ā it complements the food better. Sitting at the bar makes for a more immersive experience. Heard they also offer a late-night Taco Omakase ā already on my list to try next! š CariƱo 4662 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60640 #ChicagoEats #MichelinStarChicago #MexicanFood #CariƱo #UptownChicago #FineDining
