Madison|Homemade Food Diary! 🧑🍳
Ran out of restaurant content, so sharing some recent home cooking! 😋 All dishes made with love (and Madison grocery hauls 🛒). 🍲 Steamed Fish 🐟 – Used Swai Fillet from Walmart! Steamed for ~8 mins, then drizzled with soy sauce and hot oil. Light and healthy! 🍗 Teriyaki Chicken 🐓 – Finally used that Costco teriyaki sauce before expiry! Marinated and glazed with it (roommate dissed me, but I loved the sweetness 😌). 🥘 Beef & Potato Stew 🥩 – Pressure-cooked with Walmart beef stew meat. Potatoes melted into the sauce—comfort food at its best! 🥬 Chinese Cabbage with Dace Fish – Super easy! Canned dace fish stir-fried with cabbage. Topped with leftover beef stew (top right 😂). 🍡 Sweet Rice Ball Soup – Bought fermented rice and glutinous rice balls from Asian. Boiled with rock sugar, egg swirl, and starch. Cozy dessert! 🍶 🍛 Chicken Curry with Fried Chicken 🍗 – Used leftover Nitty Gritty fried chicken as protein! Simmered in curry sauce—zero waste, max flavor! ♻️🔥 Cooking in Madison = creativity + grocery hustle! 🥢 Pro tip: Check expiration dates before hoarding sauces! 📅 #Madison #HomeCooking #FoodDiary #UWMadison #CurryLover #AsianCuisine 🏠
