Madison｜Tavernakaya – Ramen, Sushi & Curry in One Spot! 🍜

Went to Tavernakaya with friends last Saturday—a Japanese restaurant near Capitol Square! 🏛️ Since Morris Ramen and Ramen Kids closed, there aren’t many casual Japanese spots left on campus (sushi-only places don’t count! 😤). It’s a bit far from the CS building… and we got caught in the rain on the way back! 🌧️😅 Here’s what we tried: 🍛 Curry Rice ($16.50) – Both friends ordered this! They said it was tasty, but they ate it too fast for me to try 😂 🍗 Karaage ($10) – Shared appetizer! Juicy and well-seasoned—highly recommend! 🍜 Tonkotsu Ramen ($16) – Generous with 4 slices of chashu! Broth was a bit salty alone but perfect with noodles. Portion was small though—not sure if you can add extra noodles. 🍣 TKO Roll – …Not great. Had pineapple and other weird mix-ins.
