Madison | What I’ve Been Eating Lately 🍁
🇻🇳 Red – a pretty controversial spot, but I thought the flavors were pretty good! The bluefin tuna was delicious 🐟. The Saigon salad helped get some veggies in, though there was way too much cucumber 🥒. Honestly, whenever cucumber gets involved, it just takes over everything… 🏮 Tai Tai – originally went for the steamed fish. It looked legit (though one friend thought it looked creepy… I guess fish can be kinda scary 🫣), and the seasoning was on point, but the fish was just one thin slice 😅. Still, the restaurant is nice! The fatty beef was especiallyyy good 🥩, and the stir-fried udon was tasty too—the chicken in it was super tender. Would’ve been perfect with a cracked egg on top 🍳. Plus, you bus your own table = no need to tip 💸. 🌿 Thai Basil – not sure if it’s because I picked a low spice level, but the tom yum soup was weirdly sweet 🍯. The curry was also sweet (lots of coconut milk, I guess). The crab fried rice was tasty 🦀, but didn’t feel very Thai. 🍜 That dim & mysterious Thai place on State Street – pretty sure it was Drunk Noodle! The noodles were flavorful, but the chicken was just okay 🐔. 🧁 Bloom – lemon tart and chocolate croissant… SO GOOD 😭🍋🍫. Their coffee is also excellent ☕️. #Madison #Foodie
