Mahanakhon Noodle Bar in Chicago 🌴

When my friend suggested eating here, I totally thought it was just a regular American ramen spot from the name… but turns out it’s actually a Thai restaurant! 😆 Fun fact: It’s said that Lisa from Blackpink visited this place when she was in Chicago! I always thought she went to a different Thai spot—haha😅 🟢 Must-tries: Beef Hot Pot, Ka Prow Moo (Holy Basil Pork Rice), and Boat Noodle! Their beef balls are super bouncy and flavorful—so good that I still crave them even when I’m at other Thai restaurants! The broth for both the beef hot pot and boat noodle is incredibly fragrant and memorable. One try and you’ll be hooked! 🤤 🔴 Not a fan of the desserts though—they’re a bit too sweet for my taste😐 Also… not sure what we were thinking that day, but we ordered steamed siu mai… and yeah, it wasn’t great🥲 🌱 Overall, it’s a cozy little spot with a chill vibe. Even on weekends it wasn’t crowded—we were the only table there! Kinda worried it might close down one day… I’d miss their boat noodle and basil rice way too much!! 🥡 Have you been here before? What did you try—love it or not?
