Malaysian Food Gem in Chicago Suburbs - Penang 🇲🇾
I'd spotted Penang Malaysian Cuisine near Mitsuwa before but always ended up at Santouka for ramen 🍜. Finally tried it on a whim—and instantly fell in love! 💖 🥘 Pic 2: Roti Canai Flaky, house-made flatbread with potato curry chicken dip—soak it up or enjoy it crispy! Either way, divine. 🫓✨ 🥘 Pic 3: Satay Tofu Unlike Thai versions, these tofu pockets are stuffed with cucumber & bean sprouts for crunch, balancing the peanut sauce's saltiness. Genius! 🥒🥜 🥘 Pic 4: Pineapple Fried Rice Packed with chicken, shrimp, and bold flavors... but the ginger kick was a struggle for this ginger-hater. 🍍🔥 (Proceed with caution!) 🥘 Pic 5: Sizzling Tofu & Shrimp Egg tofu + shrimp + veggies on a piping-hot plate—like a seafood claypot, but extra salty (rice mandatory!). 🍤♨️ 🥘 Pic 6: Nasi Lemak (MY National Dish!) Curry chicken drumstick 🍗 + coconut rice 🥥 + boiled egg + anchovies & peanuts = PERFECTION. So huge I had to doggy-bag half! 🥡💪 Affordable, authentic, and underrated—if this were downtown, it'd be packed! Already planning my next trip. 🚗💨 Penang Malaysian Cuisine #ChicagoEats #MalaysianFood #FoodieAdventure #GlobalBites #ChicagoFoodie
