Maple & Ash Chicago — Birthday Dinner 🎂

Celebrated my 21st birthday at Maple & Ash in Chicago! Went for their tasting menu, but seems the special birthday menu is gone now — server said that was the “old menu.” We ordered from the main menu instead. 🍽️ What we ate: We got the “I Don’t Give a F” tasting menu — $225 for 5 courses, and it was totally worth it! Everything was delicious — by the fourth course we were already full, and dessert came with lots of dips. The restaurant focuses on open-fire / wood-fired cooking — like a culinary blind box if you don’t specify allergies or preferences! The steak 🥩 is definitely a highlight (though it felt closer to rare 😅). Meat and seafood were solid, and the sauces were fantastic. 👨‍🍳 Service was great — fun, engaging, and professional. They handled pacing, pairing suggestions, and overall flow really well. 📍 Maple & Ash | Chicago ⏰ Dinner + Sunday brunch. There’s a bar on the first floor — coat check at the back, then elevator on the left. 👗 Dress code is business casual — they text reminders. 💡 Reserve ahead and mention your birthday in the notes if celebrating! #MapleAndAsh #ChicagoEats #BirthdayDinner #FoodReview #ChicagoDining #Chicago
