Marseille | Pierrot - A Seafood Feast for Two
We spent a total of 💰480 CNY at Pierrot in Marseille, and here’s what we enjoyed: 1️⃣ 4 incredibly juicy oysters 🦪 (Gillardeau No. 4) 2️⃣ 4 super clean and fresh large shrimp 🦐 3️⃣ 2 fresh sea urchins (A guy at the next table ordered a whole plate of about 20 sea urchins and polished them off in 30 minutes!) 4️⃣ Half a crab that was almost entirely full of roe 🦀 5️⃣ For starters, we had a baked moules dish with a flavor we’ve never tried before. If we could eat more, we would definitely order another! The seafood here is incredibly fresh and affordable. The sea urchins are highly recommended—they are salty, sweet, and absolutely unparalleled. A must-try in life! 👍👍👍 We also tried Mediterranean oysters and mussels, both of which were of excellent quality and reasonably priced. The owner will clean and prepare the seafood for you and serve it with a basket of baguettes. We recommend pairing it with white wine. Note: ⚠️ The owner mentioned that credit cards and Visa are not accepted, so please bring cash or a foreign card. The next day, we took a city walk in the drizzle and managed to capture some beautiful blue sky photos, complemented by a rainbow 🌈. It made the trip feel truly worthwhile. You can search for “city walk routes” online; there are coffee shops and restaurants along the way. We suggest getting a public transport card. You can purchase a 24-hour pass for around five euros at any metro station, which covers buses, trams, and subways. #MarseilleFood #FrenchCuisine #GlobalEatingAdventures #MarseilleSeafood #TravelingFrance
