Went there 3 times within a few days about 5 weeks ago because I love shellfish but the last day was a real disappointment. The first night, the waitress was lovely and helped me identify a wine I liked. Gave me a tasting to make sure I liked the wine before giving me the entire glass and the wine was nice. The last day I was there for lunch. I had forgotten which wine I had before and described as best I could what I wanted to a different waitress just like the first night. This waitress brought the wine and before I could say let me taste it first, she poured me an entire glass. I took one sip and realized it was Chardonnay, which is my least favorite white wine and right away asked for it to be changed. I then got something else I was happy with but then they charged me for the Chardonnay anyhow. When I disputed the charge, the host insisted that nowhere in the world would any restaurant offer tasting for a single wine of glass, which obviously is not true based on not only my extensive travels and eating out, but also my experience at the very same restaurant just a couple of days earlier! Furthermore, he accused me of having drunk half of the glass before I returned it when he wasn't even there watching the waitress pour it. She had poured only to the level matching the widest part of the glass and it was pretty much the same level after I took one tiny sip just to taste. We spent over 100 EUR between two people for lunch yet the host wouldn't budge and insisted on charging me 9 EUR for a glass of wine I didn't drink, didn't like and wasn't offered the chance to taste first. This would be a pretty disappointing anywhere but...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this seafood restaurant, and my experience was a mixed feeling of delights and some disappointments.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a maritime charm that set the stage for a memorable meal. The younger server who attended to us was an absolute delight, providing attentive and friendly service that enhanced our dining experience. His knowledge of the menu were excellent and his good attitudeadding addee a personal touch to our evening.
However, the same could not be said for the other server, whose carelessness left something to be desired. While he was not rude, his lack of attention was noticeable and detracted from the overall experience.
Now, onto the star of the show – the food. Every dish we tried was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients. Each bite was a mix of flavors, showcasing the freshness of the seafood and the creativity of the kitchen. And let's not forget about the dessert – it was the perfect finale to our meal, leaving us...
Read moreWe wanted to find a spot that would serve a Fruits de Mer platter, but for some reason a lot of places were closed on Monday evening, so I found this spot on Google Maps and decided to venture out beyond the Old Port area.
Being American, I made us a 7:15pm reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, with only two tables occupied… my wife started to get a bit nervous. But we then remembered that any reservation before 8 is a very American thing to do! Around 8pm the restaurant began filling up with locals; we were at the right spot! Being out of the Old Port area, we didn’t pay tourist pricing and probably had the best lobster we’ve had in a long time.
The service staff is very friendly and interacted with us in English. They were having fun and were very attentive to us in explaining the menu.
If you’re in Marseille, this spot is a...
