Michelin Green Star Daisies — Restaurant Week Visit 🌿
Wrote about Daisies’ weekend brunch before — saw they were part of Restaurant Week, so I skipped the crowds at Esme/Boka/Moody Tongue and came here instead. 🥗 First Course – Shaved Brussels sprout salad, squash salad, or carrot + bread. The Brussels sprout salad (also had at Eden recently) came with pear, nuts, and rosemary — aromatic and bright. The squash salad was creamy and comforting. 🍝 Second Course – Mushroom pappardelle, cheese tortellini, or lamb pasta. The pappardelle was loaded with porcini mushrooms. The tortellini had black truffle and a strong celery-herb note. 🍰 Dessert Butter cake, raspberry crisp cake, peanut butter rice crispy bar, oat cream pie, brown sugar chocolate cookie, or hot chocolate bread pudding. Almost all were very sweet (American-style) — only the raspberry crisp felt balanced. Two menu tiers: $42 (starter + main + dessert) or $59 (adds an extra main). The $42 option was plenty filling. Note: They automatically add 25% service charge — service was good, but the mandatory fee felt a bit steep. 📍 Daisies 2375 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 #DaisiesChicago #MichelinGreenStar #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #PlantForward #LoganSquare
