Michelin Green Star in Chicago — Daisies 🌱🍳
I’ve written about Daisies’ dinner before, but never tried their brunch — friends raved about their pastries, so I went last weekend. Note: Daisies is a Michelin Green Star restaurant — recognized for sustainability efforts (local sourcing, low waste), separate from traditional Michelin stars. 🥪 Parmesan Chicken Sandwich – Looked great but had kale — a bit bitter if you’re not a kale fan. 🐟 Smoked Whitefish Sandwich – My favorite! With pickled ramps, dill, and salmon roe — fresh, bright, and flavorful. 🧅 Onion Dip + House Potato Chips – Simple but addictive — a must-try starter. 🥐 Ham & Cheese Croissant – Warm, flaky, and fragrant straight from the case — smelled amazing. 🍪 Oat Cream Cookie – Cookie was meh, cream overly sweet — typical American bakery issue. One bite was enough. 🍯 Honey Latte – Sweet but not cloying — a nice balance. ⚠️ Sandwiches are lunch-only (after 11 AM). Pastries available from 7 AM. Skip the cream-filled desserts, but their breads are fantastic. 📍 Daisies 2375 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 #DaisiesChicago #MichelinGreenStar #SustainableEats #ChicagoBrunch #LoganSquare
