Mid‑August Visit to Kyōten 🍣✨

Since the pandemic began, Kyōten has been doing private buyouts only. Last weekend, Chef Otto DM’d me saying they’d close for renovations until November and invited regulars for one last pre‑closure omakase — of course I said yes! 🤣 Compared to other Chicago sushi spots, Kyōten stands out for its bold creativity. Think king crab paired with corn sorbet, smoked salmon, ever‑changing fish selections, even foie gras nigiri — Otto crafts each menu on the fly.
