Monteverde — Chicago 🇮🇹✨
We ordered all the appetizers we wanted… portions were huge, so we didn’t even save room for mains 😂 From the wagyu skewer, you can tell their steak won’t disappoint—definitely trying it next time 🥹 The skewer was perfectly grilled, tender, and well-seasoned. The grilled sweet potato was just okay, but the veggie mix underneath was delicious. The famous Burrata e Ham—aka “Italian meat sandwich”—was amazing for the first few bites, with lovely rosemary aroma. But it got less exciting toward the end. Tastes best fresh. If you’re in a small group, get the half portion—it’s seriously filling. Texas Redfish was tender and tasty, but weirdly tasted like it was marinated in Lao Gan Ma chili sauce 😹 Interesting, but probably a one-time try. Also, not a beet fan—tasted like fancy digestive tablets to me 😅 Stuffed Cabbage tasted like pizza 🍕—very cheesy, probably a hit with American palates. The mushroom sauce underneath was good, but I wouldn’t order it again. #ChicagoEats #Monteverde #ItalianFood #WagyuSkewer #Burrata #FoodReview #ChicagoFoodie
