Moody Tongue Bar — Fall Visit 🍺🍽️

After enjoying Moody Tongue’s tasting menu, I wanted to try their bar‑side à la carte menu. Like the main dining room, the bar offers a complimentary palate‑cleansing beer to start. However, many of the specialty brews from the tasting (like strawberry‑infused and truffle beers) aren’t available at the bar. 🍤 Scallop Appetizer Generously portioned — almost a small main course already! 🐟 Crispy Whole Fish (Cod) Tasted wonderfully like Lao Gan Ma crispy fish — savory, spicy, and super flavorful. The portion felt like two servings — I ended up taking half home. 🍫 Chocolate Layer Cake Rich, smooth, and delicious. They even brew a chocolate‑infused beer that echoes the dessert’s deep cocoa notes. ⚠️ One odd note: Our waiter asked us to order everything at once — no staging courses. He said the kitchen prefers full orders upfront. A bit unusual for bar dining, but okay.
