Museo dei Fori Imperiali: The Trajan's Market Museum 🏛️✨
I never knew Rome had such a place with few crowds + beautiful architecture + wide views + excellent photo opportunities at every angle. It's not super off the beaten path compared to the Colosseum or Vatican, but it's still a bit of a hidden gem. Located right in the city center, if you're passing by, I recommend taking a look! 💰 €13 (free on the first Sunday of each month) 🕰️ Open daily from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm Trajan's Market was a famous public place built by the Roman Emperor Trajan. Upon entering, I was surprised to find it extremely well-preserved, truly a prototype of modern shopping malls. The shop fronts on each level are strikingly similar to contemporary wholesale markets. The ruins form a circular, enclosed shape, much like the atrium of today's shopping malls, but semi-open. So, from the third floor of the market, you can overlook the Victor Emmanuel Monument, surrounding churches, the Trajan's Column, and the square ruins. The view is stunning, and even some of the indoor windows offer great views! The best part was that there were very few people on the day I went. The entire market has a deep orange hue, which looks great in photos. I left very satisfied. #WhereToGoOnVacation #CulturalAttractions #Trajan'sForum #RomeMuseums #ItalyMuseums #Rome #GreatPlacesInItaly #Museums #WeekendGetaways
