Must-Try Brunch Spot in Marseille

If you’re in Marseille and don’t know where to have breakfast, I highly recommend this brunch place. It’s located near the Old Port, which is very convenient for those staying in the area. After you’re seated, there’s a QR code on the table for you to scan and view the menu, but the ordering is still done through the waitstaff. We sat outside, and it was very comfortable being in the shade on a sunny morning. The street ambiance was great. There’s an Alessi furniture store nearby, and they display a huge Juice Salif sculpture outside, which is quite a contrast and worth checking out after your meal. 1️⃣ Sunset Boulevard €16 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious! Pancakes with eggs and bacon, surrounded by a ring of seasonal fruits, and served with a cup of maple syrup. The combination of sweet and savory works really well here! The watermelon, pineapple, and oranges on the side are very sweet and refreshing, and you won’t feel bloated after finishing the whole plate. Highly recommended! 2️⃣ Santa Monica Baby (Crispy bacon 15€) ⭐⭐⭐* This seems to be the restaurant’s signature dish, but it might be a bit too heavy for some people, especially those with a Chinese palate. It was good at first, but the thick layer of cheese sauce on top made it a bit overwhelming towards the end. If you order this, I suggest pairing it with a refreshing juice to cut through the richness. 3️⃣ Let’s Surf In Malibu €10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The recipe has changed recently, from strawberries to honey-roasted apricots. This one is perfect for those with a sweet tooth! The cream and pancakes are lightly sweet, with a good balance of sweetness that’s not overpowering. The interspersed strawberry chunks add an extra layer of texture and freshness. 4️⃣ MILKSHAKE OF THE MOMENT: Pistachio ice cream, milk, chocolate & pistachios €6 ⭐⭐⭐ A very fragrant pistachio-flavored chocolate milkshake. It’s quite rich, so be mindful of what you pair it with, otherwise, it might feel a bit too heavy. #Marseille #SouthFrance #France #Travel #Brunch #TravelTips
