Tucked away in the lively streets of Marseille, Cali Kitchen is a standout spot for breakfast. My wife and I recently tried their signature waffles topped with eggs, bacon, and avocado, and it made for a delightful morning meal.

The place exudes a charming blend of Marseille's vibrant energy and a relaxed California vibe. You can choose to dine outdoors, enjoying the fresh air, but the indoor seating is just as appealing. The decor is thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that feels both stylish and comfortable.

The food was top-notch. The waffles were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—just the way they should be. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and the avocado added a creamy touch that brought everything together. The sweet and savory combination worked well, making each bite satisfying.

Beyond the food, the attention to detail at Cali Kitchen is evident. The bathroom was impressively clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

We left feeling content and refreshed, having enjoyed a meal that was both satisfying and comforting. I really like this place. The food is AMAZING... and reasonably-priced. But if you opt to eat inside... it's air conditioned... but it is LOUD!

I don't even know why. Even if there are only a handful of people eating inside it's loud. I had to yell at the person right next to me.

The servers were nice... but they only seem to have one sugar dispenser and one salt shaker in the whole place. (I never did see the pepper shaker.) I ordered a coffee and got no sugar... and when the sugar was passed to me... I had no spoon (as shown in my photo).

So the servers were nice but the service... doesn't really match how lovely the place is.

I can't believe whoever owns this place didn't see fit to make sure that every table has, at least, its own salt and pepper shakers and sugar. I mean that's just ridiculous.

Maybe they have them outside... Which is an option I HIGHLY...

Cute place for brunch. We took our friend here who is a Marseille local and he was very confused as it's a little out of character for the Marseille that he knows. It was great to have something a bit different than what we'd been having the rest of the week.

The servers were smiley and friendly which made a nice change from the cold hospitality we'd come across otherwise in Marseille.

We'd ordered the cheesy toastie, the salmon waffles and the Cali brunch. All food options were great and very tasty. The Bec Me Up brioche bun was inhaled in seconds by my partner who assured me it was perfectly balanced and really delicious.

The decor is a little ostentatious for my liking, but that seems to be the main trend for the brunch spots in that area. It was comfortable and the toilet was spacious and clean.
