Must-Try Indian Michelin-Recognized Restaurant in Chicago's North Side
Discovered Chicago’s Indian version of Flushing thanks to an Indian friend — located just north of downtown. 🍛 Butter Chicken (servers know it by name) Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor — lots of butter and tender chicken. Highly recommend — we couldn’t stop eating it! A must-order (unless you're allergic to dairy 😅). 🍖 Sabri Nihari (first under Chef's Special) Tender, slow-cooked beef that falls apart easily — reminded me of Northwest or Xinjiang-style stew. Great for milder palates. (They also have a bone-in version if you like richer cuts.) 🫓 Chili Garlic Naan Too salty for me, too spicy for my friend — maybe Northwestern spice lovers will enjoy? Not my pick. 🧄 Garlic Naan Delicious! Garlicky and fresh — could’ve been even more garlicky for me. Recommended. 🍚 Rice ($5) — tasty but pricey (“eating gold?” 😂). For two (especially if one’s a big eater), it might not be enough. Choose rice or naan based on your preference — dishes don’t come with either. 🅿️ Street parking only — can get busy on weekends. The area felt very Indian/subcontinental — safe and lively. Service was excellent. Only downside: the place felt like a construction zone (though the dining area was clean). Eating at a Michelin-level工地 vibe? 😂 🏠 Sabri Nihari Restaurant 📍 2502 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL 60659 ⭐ My rating: 4.7/5.0 #ChicagoEats #IndianFood #MichelinRecommended #ButterChicken #Nihari #DevonAve
