🥢 My Go-To Spot in Arlington

🥢 My Go-To Spot in Arlington|A Chinese Restaurant I Keep Coming Back To 📍 Lantern Restaurant & Bar This Chinese spot in 22202 is super close to residential areas. I often pick up my package forwarding here and end up staying for a meal~ Over time, it’s basically become my regular cafeteria! 🏠💖 🍽 What We Tried: 🐂 Appetizer: Spicy Beef Tendon This dish is insanely fragrant! As soon as the chili oil aroma hits, it feels like being back in China eating from Zi Yan Bai Wei Ji~ The tendon is tender yet chewy, packed with mala flavor—I could never recreate this at home. 🌶️✨ 🐓 Chicken with Dried Chilies (La Zi Ji) I’ve always believed you can judge a Chinese restaurant by classic dishes like this. Some places make it dry and tough, but here it’s crispy outside, juicy inside! The chicken is fried until fragrant, loaded with chili and Sichuan peppercorn aroma—highly recommend! 🔥 🐂 Stir-Fried Pork Aorta Solid performance—crisp, wok-flavored, a reliable choice. 🐂 Tofu Pudding with Beef (Dou Hua Niu) Silky tofu, tender beef slices, rich broth—so satisfying with rice! Could easily go for two bowls. 🍚😋 🍠 Taro & Brown Rice Cakes A crispy dessert to finish—crunchy outside, sweet taro and brown sugar inside. Perfect sweet ending after savory dishes! 🍯 🍹 Lychee Mocktail They have lots of signature cocktails, all available as non-alcoholic versions. This lychee drink is refreshing and sweet—great for non-drinkers! 🍸 💰 About $30–50 per person to get full, and we even took leftovers home—still tasty when reheated! Next time I want to try their boiling fish… just writing this makes me want to go back. 🤤 ———————————————————————— Updated Review: Recently ordered takeout again: Bridgehead Three Crisps, Couple’s Beef Slices, Spicy Conch, and La Zi Ji. 🐚 The conch was just okay—kinda tasted like rehydrated frozen seafood; 🐂 But the Couple’s Beef Slices were especially fragrant! Their chili oil is amazing—cold dishes are really on point here. 🌶️ Everything else was good too, and the La Zi Ji remained consistently delicious! Given the limited Chinese options in Arlington, this place stands out. If you’re in the DMV area, give it a try~ 👇 #DMVEats#WashingtonDC#ArlingtonVA#FoodDiscovery#FoodDiary#RegularSpot
