🥢 My Go-To Spot in Arlington
🥢 My Go-To Spot in Arlington 📍 Lantern Restaurant & Bar This place is in 22202, super close to the residential area here. I often swing by to pick up packages from my freight forwarder and grab a meal at the same time—it’s basically become my regular canteen. 🐂 Appetizer: Spicy Beef Tendon This dish is absolutely addictive—I could never recreate this flavor at home. The moment the chili oil aroma hits, you know it's going to be good. 🐓 Chicken with Dried Chilies (La Zi Ji) You can judge a restaurant by its standard dishes like this one. Some places make it too dry and tough, but theirs is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Highly recommended! 🐂 Stir-Fried Pork Aorta Solid performance—pretty good. 🐂 Tofu Pudding with Beef (Dou Hua Niu) The tofu is silky smooth and pairs perfectly with rice—very comforting. 🍠 Taro and Brown Sugar Ciba (Glutinous Rice Cake) A crispy, sweet dessert to finish the meal. 🍹 Lychee Mocktail They have a wide selection of cocktails, all available as non-alcoholic versions. This one was sweet and refreshing. About $30–50 per person to get full, and we even packed a bunch of leftovers that reheated nicely. Next time I want to try their Boiled Fish—just writing about it makes me want to go back already! 👍 ———————————————————————— Edit: For Arlington, this place is really solid. Just ordered takeout again: Bridgehead Three Crunchies Husband and Wife Lung Slices (Fu Qi Fei Pian) Spicy Conch Chicken with Dried Chilies The conch was just okay—had that thawed, chewy texture—but the rest were great, especially the husband and wife slices. Super fragrant! Their cold dishes are really on point, and that chili oil is just too good. #DMV#SichuanCuisine#DC#WashingtonDC#Arlington#FoodReview#Foodie
