Naples' Instagrammable Pizza is Here! đ
When in Italy, you can't miss out on pizza! Most friends visiting Rome tend to go for Roman pizzaâthin crust and edges, often cut into squares and sold by weight. But Iâm taking the unconventional route and pointing you toward where to enjoy Neapolitan pizza in Rome. I hope you all like it! đ I donât have many pictures because every time I go, itâs just me with a pizza and a bottle of beer. đ đ So let's focus on reviewing this restaurant and their pizza: This pizzeria is located on the 6th floor of the Rinascente department store (Via del Tritone). The dining area is open and quite similar to the budget-friendly food court in malls. âźď¸ A quick tip for navigation: there are two Rinascente stores in Romeâone on Via del Tritone and the other on Via Fiume, so make sure you go to the right one! This pizzeria comes from Naples and is one of the powerhouses in the pizza world. The two most famous pizzerias in Naples are da Michele and this one, Sorbillo. In Naples, youâll find long lines to get in, but in Rome, you can usually just walk in. Describing their pizza in my words: it's like a cloud pizza! The base is incredibly thin, and the edges are soft and bouncy like clouds, springing back when you press down. Opinions on their crust are split in Italy: half of the people love it, while the other half think itâs a bit too chewy (gommosa), requiring some jaw work. I quite like it; itâs light and doesnât leave you feeling stuffed. The service is decent, and the staff speaks good English, which is important in a mall filled with international tourists. If youâre shopping at Rinascente, this is a great place to take a break. Enjoy a hearty meal, then continue your shopping, perhaps picking up some unique food souvenirs from the same floor to take home! đ #RestaurantsWorthRevisiting #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGems #Rome #ExploringRome #RomanHoliday
