National Gallery of Canada ๐จ
๐It's probably the best place to explore in Ottawa:๐ฟ Inside the gallery, you can gaze out at Parliament Hill and the Ottawa River; ๐ In the afternoon, the sun from the west streams into the glass atrium, warm and pleasing to the eye; ๐ ๐ฐThe gallery also houses some amazing pieces, including works by Monet, Van Gogh, Henry Moore, Mondrian, and Calder. ๐จ The museum features a small greenhouse and water feature, which feel incredibly precious amidst the icy winter landscape. The visitors themselves are quite a sight to behold! ๐ฟ The exhibits are arranged in chronological order from the Middle Ages to modern times. There aren't too many pieces, but you can easily feel the evolution of art history! ๐ ๐The art shop is great, and there's a beautiful sculpture of a galloping horse outside the cafรฉ window. โ๏ธ Ottawa has another art gallery, which seems to have fewer collections. It's located opposite the Westin Hotel, by the Rideau Canal. It's not the same as this National Gallery. ๐ฐ ๐#ExploreMuseums #ArtGallery #OttawaTravel๐
