New American Eatery in Downtown Chicago — Bijan’s 🍔

Recently noticed this new spot in River North — friends who’d been said it was solid, so I booked a table. 🥪 Breakfast Sandwich – Fluffy scrambled eggs, arugula, and bacon on toast — simple and satisfying. 🍗 Chicken Sandwich (“Jerk” Style) – They have two: “Gentleman” (breast, Southern-style) and “Jerk” (thigh, with basil-mint mayo + chili). I went Jerk — sweet, spicy, and messy (in a good way). 🍟 Waffle Fries – Crispy, well-seasoned, perfect for scooping up ketchup. 🌽 Corn Fritters – Sweet, cakey, with actual corn kernels — a tasty side. 🍹 Mockingbird Mule (Non-Alc) – Seedlip base with lime and mint — refreshing. Though I went for brunch, they’re open until 3 AM — great for late-night eats after drinks. Service was friendly but a bit understaffed. Most importantly: the food delivers.
