No-miss seafood in Galveston

Before coming, I checked a ton of seafood restaurants on Google Maps. 🍎 👀👀Looking through their menus, they all had the same typical "white people’s seafood" dishes—things like clam chowder and fried calamari felt boring. I wanted something more down-to-earth and unique, so I picked this spot: Cajun Greek❣️ Their signature dish is the BOI (Build Your Own) platter—load up a huge plate with your choice of seafood and cooking style. For four of us, we ordered:🎉 - Jumbo shrimp: Super fresh and delicious! - Red snapper: The daily size was 2 pounds, and it blew us away—everyone loved it. The fish was tender, and the seasoning was perfect for Chinese tastes! It had that classic "braised fish" vibe, haha.✨✨ 🎃🎃- Oysters: The waiter kindly warned us they weren’t worth the price—$40 for 8 oysters. But as oyster lovers, we didn’t listen… turns out, emmmm, he was right. They weren’t good at all—definitely skip these. - Crab cake: Also pretty tasty, with a bold, savory flavor.🦋 🍜Sides included complimentary hush puppies and garlic bread, which I found just so-so. On the other hand, the corn and Cajun rice were amazing—highly recommend these must-try items! The corn kernels were plump, evenly coated in sauce, full of flavor, and not as greasy as the buttery corn you usually get at American spots.🌻🌻 We also got a seafood soup, which was rich and flavorful. It was packed with ingredients: shrimp, fish chunks, calamari rings, corn, and potatoes. It even came with rice and garlic bread, making it great for sharing with a group. Plus, there was a Chinese-speaking waiter who was incredibly nice and patient—he walked each of us through the menu and helped with food pairings 💯 📍 Cajun Greek 2226 61st St, Galveston, TX 77551 It’s a 4-minute drive from Galveston Beach, and there’s parking behind the restaurant. #HoustonFood
