Noriko – My Recent Favorite Japanese Spot in West Loop 🍣✨
Second visit to Noriko — here’s the rundown: 🥇 Award-winning Oyster with Toro ⭐⭐⭐ First time: amazing! This time: too salty and icy — still had unmelted crushed ice. 🦪 Uni ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sweet and fresh — no complaints! 🐟 Toro ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST DISH — must order! Generous portion, incredibly satisfying every time. 🍣 King Salmon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Always reliable and delicious. 🌶️ Crying Tiger Roll ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (only until February!) Thai-inspired flavors — reminded me of Proxi’s grilled fish sauce. Unique and tasty — try it if you love trying new things! 🥑 Spicy Avocado ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smooth, creamy avocado mash — good texture, though I wasn’t a huge fan of the spicy sauce on top. Still recommend it! 🫒 Previous tries: Scallop – Not as good as Sushi San’s version. Wagyu – Just okay, wouldn’t reorder. Seaweed Salad – Pretty standard. 🍸 Sunomono Sour (yuzu cucumber cocktail) – Loved it! Refreshing, tangy, slightly sweet — perfect with fish. #ChicagoEats #Uni #HandRoll #Sushi #Toro #WestLoop #DateNightSpot #JapaneseCuisine
