North Pond π· | A $110 Michelin-Worthy Dinner in Chicago
Iβd previously tried their brunch and was blown away β set in a park, it felt so peaceful. So in late August, I finally booked their dinner. Honestly, brunch is an even better deal β $49 for amazing quality. Dinner is $110 for 4 courses, plus a beautiful amuse-bouche and a strawberry milkshake before dessert (tangy, melted strawberry ice cream vibes π). π½οΈ First Courses: π¦ Duck, Blackberry β smoked duck over cornbread and crumbles, layered with blackberry flavors. π Scallop, Melon β super refreshing! Scallop with seasonal veggies and melon broth β sweet + umami, clean finish. π½οΈ Second Courses: π Rabbit, Cherries β bacon-wrapped rabbit, tender and not greasy, with zucchini β well-balanced. π¦ Mezzaluna, Crab β sweet crab meat, but pasta was too al dente and overpowered the crab ratio-wise. π½οΈ Main Courses: π¦ Duck, Bok Choy β juicy seared duck breast, but the duck leg sauce was a bit heavy. π₯© Wagyu, Rhubarb β steak never disappoints. The beef puff pastry gave Wellington feels! π° Desserts: π½ Corn, Huckleberry & π Peach, Passion Fruit β decent, not too sweet. π¦ We also ordered the daily special: lobster tail with a savory lobster cannoli β delicious but tiny portion. β³ Service was slow β dinner took 2.5 hours. Still, a lovely park-side experience! #NorthPond #ChicagoEats #MichelinDining #DinnerInThePark #ValueForMoney #SlowPaced
