Office Worker’s Jeju Island 1-Person 2D1N “Special Forces” Guide

This trip cost me a total of 2K overing flights, accommodation, shopping, a speedboat tour, and more! I spent 2 full days exploring, came back with 2 big bags of shopping hauls, and honestly think it’s totally worth it~ 💪 1️⃣ Pre-Trip Prep Flights (Round-Trip: 578 ): Outbound: Bought on Tongcheng with a cashback offer—431 , got 120 cashback. Return: Bought on Qunar for 267 Pro tip: Compare prices! Sometimes round-trip tickets are cheaper when booked together, sometimes separate. Booking 1+ weeks in advance is usually the getting around. 🏨 Cash (200,000 KRW): I used cash for almost everything. Exchange currency via your mobile bank app, then book an appointment to withdraw cash. I spent 200,000 KRW total, but you can exchange less—Alipay and WeChat are accepted in many places. 💴 SIM Card (33 ): Bought a 3-day data card on Fliggy, which came with a free plug adapter. 📱 Apps: I only downloaded Papago (more than enough for translation!). 🗣️ 2️⃣ Departure & Arrival Must bring your passport! The crew will hand out arrival cards on the plane—fill them out and submit to staff after landing. After immigration, go to the 3rd floor to buy a bus card at CU Convenience Store (4,000 KRW) and top it up with 10,000 KRW (that’s plenty for the trip). 🚌 3️⃣ Itinerary Day 1: Food & Shopping Spree 【Olle Noodle House → Hotel → Daiso → Shilla Duty-Free/Olive Young/ABC Mart/Beverage Shops → Gamjatang (Pork Bone Soup) → Taiyaki & Fish Cakes → Convenience Store → Hotel】 Took a bus to Olle Noodle House (a celebrity-favorite spot). All dishes are 10,000 KRW—their pork noodles were really good! 🍜 Walked to the hotel, checked in, dropped off luggage, and took a short break. Wandered to Daiso (Japanese discount store): You’ll need to buy toothbrushes/toothpaste (hotels don’t provide them). Highly recommend buying hats, gloves, earmuffs, and rain shoe covers—super useful for the beach the next day! Lots of cheap finds here—I filled a whole bag, plus bought an extra big tote to carry all my shopping later (so practical!). 🛍️ If you have too many bags, walk back to the hotel to drop them off, then navigate to Health Road for shopping. All the viral drinks trending on Xiaohongshu are available here—I even took a “life four-grid” photo booth pic! 📸 I skipped Dongmun Market, but if you want to go, take a bus there after exploring Health Road. If not, walk back to the hotel: There’s a solo-friendly gamjatang shop next to the hotel (10,000 KRW per serving). Next door, you can get taiyaki and fish cakes—perfect for a light snack! The hotel is right above a 7-Eleven—grab snacks for the next day’s breakfast (you can pay with your bus card here!). 🍱 Day 2: Sightseeing & Speedboat Fun 【Hyeopjae Beach → Seopjikoji → Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak → Udo Island】 Bought a 1-day group tour on Ctrip for 28 RMB—it covered Hyeopjae Beach, Seopjikoji, and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, with Udo Island as the final stop. 🚌 The tour guide charged 30,000 KRW for round-trip transportation on Udo Island. We had lunch on the island (13,000–20,000 KRW per person). After lunch, we took a speedboat—it was so thrilling! The weightless feeling when hitting big waves was awesome. ⚠️ Critical tip: Bring a change of pants, or waterproof rain pants and shoe covers. The waves will soak you completely! 🌊 After returning to downtown, grab a bite to eat, do a little more shopping if you want, then take a bus to the airport~ #JejuIsland #SpecialForcesTravel #IslandTrip #ExploringTheWorld #TravelGuide
