OKC Brunch Spot đ Hatch: Delicious Food + Vintage Car
Last year during Black Friday, I took a little trip to Oklahoma (just north of Texas), and in Oklahoma City (OKC), I had an amazing brunch experience! â€ïž Hatch is a local Oklahoma chain, and the location we visited is in the downtown area. Itâs housed in an old municipal building, connected to an office building next doorâsuch a cool, unique setting đ! I went in with pretty low expectations, to be honest. I was worried Southern-style food might be too greasy or overly salty⊠but I was so wrong! The two dishes we ordered were both delicious, perfectly suited my taste, and the prices were super affordable đ°. The restaurant gets really busyâif you want a regular table, youâll have to wait at least 30 minutes. So we opted for the high-top tables instead, which let us sit down much faster â â â . Must-Try Dishes Avocado Toast đ„ Itâs not just simple avocado toastâit also comes with two runny sunny-side-up eggs đł! The sauce drizzled on top has a creamy, milky flavor, with just a hint of saltâno greasiness at all. The avocado spread was perfectly seasoned, and the bread was soft, fluffy brioche toastâso fragrant! Pair this with a latte â, and I was full and satisfied in no time. Chicken & Waffles đđ§ You canât skip chicken and waffles for brunch, right? Hatch nails this classic! The fried chicken has a thin, crispy crustâno heavy batter, so itâs not greasy. The saltiness is just right, and thereâs a tiny kick of spice (totally mild, so even spice-sensitive folks can enjoy it). The waffles are light and fluffy tooâsweet, but not overly so, balancing the savory chicken perfectly. A Fun Bonus If you come here to eat, make sure to check out the vintage car next to the restaurant! Itâs a Buick classicâsuper sleek and cool đ. Itâs a fun little photo op while you wait for your food or after your meal. If youâre visiting Oklahoma City, I highly recommend stopping by Hatch for breakfast or brunch â€ïž. You wonât be disappointed! #Foodie #OKC #Oklahoma #BrunchLovers #NorthAmericanLife #TravelEats
