Oklahoma | Glimpses of Downtown 📷
The capital of Oklahoma isn’t as bustling as you might imagine ✨ — instead, it feels humble and welcoming 🌿. 🛴 Figure 1️⃣: Those electric scooters are perfect for city walks! Highly recommend trying one if you can. The tram here is pretty cute 🚋 Visited the Thunder’s home court — Paycom Center 🏀 Too bad there was no game that day, and the merch store was closed 😢 Scissortail Park wasn’t as stunning as I expected, but the vast green lawn was impressive 🌳 If it weren’t so hot, I would’ve loved to just lie down and relax there 💚 By the lake—not the cleanest, but dotted with delicate translucent flowers 💮 Ducks waddled around in family groups 🦆🦆 Not the best idea to sit on wooden benches in summer though… bugs everywhere! 🐜 (Go away, mosquitos! 🦟) But Union Station was an unplanned surprise 🚉 This was the local Union Station from 1931–1967 🕰️ Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, it now serves as the main office of the state’s transportation authority. As I peeked through the gate, my partner and I both remembered the “Jinghan Railway Station” we visited in Wuhan 🚊 That one had even more charm and a deeper sense of history 🏛️❤️ #UrbanDiscoveries #CityWalk #Oklahoma #TravelDiary #OKC #HiddenGems #TravelFragments #ThunderUp #TramLove 🚋🌆
