A Top-Tier NBA Experience at Paycom Center We had an amazing experience at the Paycom Center during Round 3, Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs against the Timberwolves. From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. One of the first things we noticed was how reasonably priced the tickets were compared to other arenas. But don’t let the price fool you — the experience felt anything but cheap. The arena is modern, well-organized, and clearly run by professionals. Getting in was seamless: ticket scanning, metal detectors, and security — all efficient and friendly. Everything moved like clockwork. Once inside, clear signage made it easy to find our section without needing assistance. At our seats, we found complimentary T-shirts and clappers — a fun surprise! Every seat had the same gifts, adding to the electric atmosphere. The crowd was one of the happiest and warmest we’ve seen — everyone just excited to be part of the action. Even when we had to pass through to our middle seats, people moved with a smile and zero hassle. The view from our seats was actually better than what was shown on Ticketmaster. That was a pleasant surprise. Another highlight: the team store remains open after the game. That’s not something you see in every arena, and it gave us plenty of time to do some shopping without rushing. Exiting the arena was just as smooth. The police presence outside ensured safety, and everything was well-managed in the surrounding streets. Parking Tip: You’re not limited to the main lot near the stadium (which you can often prepay for via Ticketmaster). We found several other parking options, mostly on the west side — including a public lot near the Oklahoma Bank (about two blocks away), spots around Myriad Gardens (paid), and additional mobile-payment lots further west. Even if you don’t prepay, you won’t be stuck without a place to park. In short: great arena, great staff, great vibe — and a fantastic playoff experience from...
Read moreAttended a Nicki Minaj concert there recently and I was really impressed by the venue. It is a great size and built in a manner that most of the seats looked good and sounded good. Was in 101 balcony level and was able to see well. My only complaints were hat that the venue closed all food and drink concessions/lounge areas, even the vending machines-about an hour before the show even ended-it was super hot in there and my companion and I desperately wanted any type of drink, but the only option was a drinking fountain. However, the merch areas remained open. The bottled water we got before the show was outrageously priced at $5 each. Attempted to get a frozen drink from a stand, but was told that they were out of cups and it would be about 5 minutes-so I said that was no problem and just backed up into the line to wait. The employee working the stand told me rather sharply that I needed to get away from the stand and come back later…which was confusing to me since the line for that stand was usually long and she had stated that the cups would be there within minutes. So we just decided against getting the drinks.
Lastly, the biggest issues were due to the lack of ushers monitoring the seating areas. Each time we left our seats people attempted to ‘hijack’ them, making a rather uncomfortable moment when we returned. The worst was the fact that there were many people smoking pot-actual joints the entire show….it smelled horrible-I have no issue with ppl imbibing, but the arena is non-smoking, so there needs to be some sort of over site to prevent people from openly smoking skunky weed the entire show. It was obvious, since there were clouds of smoke everywhere.
Other than that, the facility is nice and I will definitely see more events there...
Read moreThe Paycom Center has come along way since it was first built. The most recent renovations with the facility has really brought it more up-to-date with a new scoreboard, new seating, and other additions. When it was first built, it was nice and new, but already felt outdated with the video and audio systems. That’s no longer the case.
The new video upgrades are a welcome update to allow a massive screen easily viewable from any seat. Along with screens under the scoreboard for those court side. The new seating is also very nice. I’ve been to a few events now and all the seats were actually comfortable.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have got a really great fan experience throughout the entire stadium. But I’ve also enjoyed concerts, monster trucks and more all in this arena and each time the arena seemed great.
The only thing I ever mind somewhat lacking is the amount of local food options within the arena itself. They do have a few, but wish there were more. I also wish the food didn’t cost more than some of the tickets. Pricing seems a bit steep for most food and drink, which I guess is a common issue amongst arenas in the US.
If your favorite artist or performance is coming to town, you won’t be upset if it’s in the Paycom Arena. Most seats have great views and the audio/visual makes it easy to know what’s going on.
Hope you enjoy your show...
