Oklahoma City | A Korean Restaurant Oozing with KPOP Vibes
Every time I pass by this restaurant, its exterior covered in Korean characters catches my eye š°š·. Step inside, and KPOP music fills the entire spaceāthere are even two big screens playing KPOP MVs nonstop! The decor gives off major Korean street or nightclub energy, plus thereās a large freezer stocked with soju (perfect for pairing with Korean food) š¶. Highlights (Our Orders): Boneless Seasoned Fried Chicken (Korean-style spicy fried chicken) š Surprisingly, it has almost no spicinessāinstead, the outer crust is sweet and crispy, while the meat inside is tender and juicy. The portion size is decent tooādefinitely recommend this! Hotpot (I canāt remember the full name, but it had āHotpotā in it) š„ The sweetness is a bit prominent, but the flavor is still delicious! That said, I noticed a lingering taste in my mouth for hours after eating. Inside, there are glass noodles, beef slices, mushrooms, and Napa cabbage. The seasoning is quite bold (it feels like itās catered to the American marketāon the sweeter side), but itās still really tasty while youāre eating it.š¬š¬ The restaurant also serves other classic Korean dishes: bulgogi (marinated beef stir-fry), odeng guk (fish cake soup), haemul pajeon (seafood pancake), spicy seafood jjigae (stew), kimchi jjigae with pork, fried kelp rolls, and more. Thereās a huge variety to choose fromāno shortage of options!ššš A Few Thoughts on the Vibe: The dining environment and decor are super atmosphericāgreat for young people on dates, maybe? But the small tables and chairs are a bit uncomfortable to sit in, haha š . Also, it seems like they offer karaoke here tooāI spotted a few private rooms set up for singing š¤. Last but not least: KPOP changes so fast! I used to follow KPOP a little bit, but during this meal, I barely recognized any of the songs playing. The only one I knew was Twiceās TTātotal āancient tearsā (a total throwback at this point) š„¹. š Address: 1520 NW 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73106 #OklahomaCity #WhatToEatToday #KoreanRestaurant
